GRECO MATSUMOTO c1972 Japanese Telecaster copy
I fell for this one in a big way. Lovely early seventies Japanese Telecaster, made for Greco by the highly-regarded Matsumoku factory (stamped Matsumoku on the rear of the headstock). It is in excellent condition for its age and including the original case. Had a full set-up courtesy of Xperience Guitars in Nottingham, but the frets were badly-worn, so used it as a slide guitar for a while. Recently had a superb refret with medium jumbo frets and it's playing and sounding great. Nice guitar - some oxidation to the metal parts and a few scuffs, dings and scratches as you'd expect, but overall very good for its age. Increasingly collectible - these early Matsumoto Grecos are not common and this is a really nice example.
