Roland CR-78 CompuRhythm

Roland CR-78 CompuRhythm

In spectacular cosmetic condition and perfect working, complete with the original footswitch, manual and box.

Fully tested and serviced by James Walker - it sounds fantastic and everything works as it should.

This CR-78 is definitely "Collector Grade"; the condition is truly outstanding and only by deliberately searching in detail could we find even the smallest flaws. The veneer is spotless; the face also (except for the tiniest mark at one side of the face); the rear has a very small amount of oxidation on the jack sockets. But this is all tiny stuff - this machine is immaculate and even the box is in excellent condition.

Heart Of Glass, Atomic, In The Air Tonight, Same Old Scene, Enola Gay - the distinctive sound of the CR-78 has featured on hundreds of hit records: a truly iconic beatbox that still sounds good today. A historic example of a classic analogue drum machine.

It's a 220v model with a Euro plug (we will supply an adaptor to UK sockets as needed). It will require a step-up transformer for countries with 110/120v mains power.

It is always possible with vintage equipment that crackly pots/sliders may develop over time when equipment has not been used - even during shipping - this can usually be easily rectified either by a few turns or in extreme cases, with suitable switch-cleaning spray.
